Shiah's Tree

Easily one of the prettiest t-shirts I have ever painted. I had a picture of this little girl and her tree in my "want to draw or paint" file for over a year and just kept putting off doing it. I finally got the ultimate motivation in that I was dropping off a t-shirt for her mom (a gift from another mom) and I wanted to be able to drop off a shirt for this girl at the same time. I knew it had turned out really nice, but the best part was the look on Shiah's face when she saw it and said "It's my tree!!!" Totally made my day :)

Poppy Painting

I painted this pretty poppy in preparation for teaching a class at the Marysville Public Library. It was called "Watercolor Your World" and it went so well! I am really hoping to teach some more classes there - I love to work with adults who start out so timid, but then create amazing art!

Nittany Lions

Had a wonderful time creating some illustrated characters for David Rastoka of Heartfelt Stories. These are for a book that will feature the Nittany lion growing up to become the Penn State mascot! His mentor along the way is a Joe Paterno lion, which was really fun to come up with. These are the illustrations being submitted for approval by Penn State. I look forward to doing the illustrations for the book once it is approved. Watercolor illustration

Did this painting for an ad idea for WCBE. I used watercolors and really like how it came out - especially the carrots.

Shoes for Girlies

I love doing art projects with and for my daughters. This was inspired by some snazzy and expensive shoes I saw and wished I could get for the girls. I hate spending lots of money on shoes though, because they grow out of them so quickly. So, I bought some inexpensive white canvas shoes and let the girls paint them how they liked. Then, while they were at school I decorated them with black marker, glitter paint and sparkly gems. The look on their faces when they saw the "glammed" shoes was priceless.

My daughters and I have been watching "Molly" the Barn owl on webcam and her owlets started hatching today! I drew this pic for my clip art club in celebration.

T-shirt for UCHS

I painted and donated this shirt to Union County Humane Society for their fundraising event this last weekend. They are a wonderful organization with very friendly staff and they always have beautiful cats and dogs in need of good homes.
