Having so much fun with the clip art club and holiday projects (which I can't post until after Christmas since some of the recipients of these items follow my blog) Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season.
I sent out the first e-mailed pdf of clip art to people on my e-mail list and so far I've gotten nothing but good responses to it! If you would like to join the list please visit my website and submit your e-mail address. I plan to get out one new sheet of clip art each week which can be used for newsletters, projects, kid's coloring sheets or anything! For a bigger project I will send out a high-res or colored pic for a small fee.
Finally broke down and bought a dremel tool to help me get some of these salvaged wood items ready for painting. This is the first project I've used it on. I sanded off the entire top, which had some damage and didn't look very nice. Then I painted and sealed it. The paint looked so cool I decided not to woodburn it. This little box will be up on Etsy shortly.
...and it's certainly living up to it's name. This piece has been a complete joy to work on. I really like how the light and dark lines have come into the picture with balance and flow and I like all the fun details and movement. It's hard not to just continue working on something like this, but I know I need to stop somewhere and I really like how it looks right now. All I need to do now is paint the frame and seal the entire piece.
Couldn't stomach paying $60 to rent a plastic tiered cupcake stand for the wedding. Decided to create my own display using vintage plates and glass vases which I bought second-hand for about $12.
Here is the finished product! I think it's going to look very elegant all done up with the cupcakes and some nasturtium flowers and leaves from our garden.
Payment gives you the right for one-time use of one illustration posted on this blog. If you need the file e-mailed to you or would like to request illustration work and pricing you can e-mail me at: vanessa_prentice@yahoo.com
